From its inception through 2022,
the OFHF has raised more than
for worthy veterans causes
Annual Lincoln Way High School scholarships - the OFHF is proud to provide a $1000 scholarship to the author of a winning essay at each of three high schools in the district.
Band of Brothers - https://bobpd.org/ there is nothing quite as appropriate and inspiring as bagpipe music. The acclaimed charitable group is kind enough to help with our motorcycle/car run every year.
Veteran’s Garage - http://www.veteransgarage.com/ Veterans and Patriots proudly dedicated to the restoration, preservation, maintenance and display of Historic Military Vehicles and Equipment. They kindly provide vehicles for our annual motorcycle/car run.
Mokena Park District Gazebo - OFHF raised money in 2020 to provide a gazebo in Aaron’s memory for the Mokena Park in Whisper Creek. This new park is located at Regan Road and Whisper Creek Way
William and Mary - Aaron’s commanding officer, Russ Burgin, is a medical doctor living near Washington DC. His wife Elizabeth is a Pat Tillman scholar and Ph.D. instructor at William and Mary’s School of Education, Military & Veteran Counseling Program, focused on veteran well-being. They started and earned sponsorship for a scholarship to help students focused on providing assistance to vet psychological needs and named it the “Toppen Memorial Scholarship” in honor of Aaron. The foundation cherishes its relationship with these outstanding folks.
Pam Toppen was introduced to Jessie Iwuji through mutual race sponsor friends during a Nascar event near Chicago. She was surprised and thrilled when he offered to place the OFHF logo on his race car. After the race, Pam was presented with the hood of the car displaying the logo and she and Jessie became fast friends. Jessie’s success and devotion to military causes is an inspiration to the OFHF and we are fortunate to know him.
